How will overtime change?
The NFL approved a proposal that will make the regular overtime season like Postseason. Both teams will get a chance to hold, although the team that received the ball for the first time scored landing.
In 1974, NFL added overtime in the regular season in 1974, which brought a 15 -minute period of sudden death. That ended the game on any score. In 2010, it was improved to ensure that the opening touch of the holder would immediately end the game in the field only in the regular season and play -off.
In 2017, the regular overtime season was shortened to just 10 minutes. In 2022, a new rule was introduced, which allowed both teams a score to be open to open the holding in Play -off.
