The government’s efforts to ensure the interconnection of aviation passengers for Adilabad received the main Oblip because the Indian Air Force (IAF) basically agreed to its proposal for civil aircraft from Adilabad Airfield.

In response, to the request of the TELANGANY Government on the establishment of Adilabad Airport for Civil Operations, Communications of 1 April 2025, from the Ministry of Defense said:
“IAF suggested that the airports could be developed as an airport of a common user with the Indian airport office (AAI), which acquires neighboring land for civil terminal, parking apron of aircraft and other infrastructure.
The state government was recommended to ask AAI to submit a detailed proposal for issuing a certificate of non-mobilization (Night) IAF.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Roads and Buildings Komatiredy Venkat Reddy said that the tireless efforts of the TELANGANY government carried fruit because IAF agreed to operate the civil aircraft from Adilabad Airfield. It is approaching on the heels of nodding for Mamnoor Airport in Warangal. A report containing detailed proposals for the development of Adilabad Airport will be prepared and submitted to the Center for obtaining the necessary permits in this respect.
