In an effort to introduce extensive use of green energy in the production of tractors, Swaraj Tractors, Mahindra Group division, she announced her cooperation with Mahindra Susten, the Group’s Pure Technician to create the largest solar project of Punjab, in the Bathinda district.
The solar energy project will supply the clean energy of the four Swawaj Tractors production devices located in Mohali and Dera Bassi in Pandjab. This project is expected to generate approximately 60 million kWh of renewable energy every year, contributing to a reduction in approximately 54,600 tonnes of CO2 emissions, the company said on Wednesday (April 2, 2025) in a statement.
“With this pioneering solar project, we take a pioneering step in the introduction of green energy on such a large scale in the production of tractors for the first time in India. The initiative perfectly aligns with our vision of transformation of agriculture and enrichment of lives while proceeding towards a sustainable future,” said Sikka, president, division of agricultural equipment and Mahindra & Mahindra Limited.

Swaraj tractors were founded in 1974 and is based in Pandjab.
