Medical Council Andhra Pradesh Medical Council (APMC) is responsible not only for granting and renewing physicians, but also to ensure that doctors follow medical ethics and professional behavior on Tuesday, said Minister for Health, Medical Education and Life Care Y. Satya Kumar Yadav.
He participated as the main guest at the ceremonial swearing of six nominated members of the interim APMC on Dr. NTR University of Health Science in Vijayawada said that nominated members should now deal with the issue of permanent registrations for foreign medical graduates without any delay.
“APMC is an important body. 23 of them normally have 23 members, of which are elected, 6 nominees and 4 members of the Ex-Offi.
He stated that the members should monitor the actions and performance of healthcare workers in the state to ensure that people are provided with quality health care. Health care should not be reduced to the company, he said, adding that doctors should treat all empathy.
The Minister, who called for several changes, said that the indisputable prescription of antibiotics should be stopped and natural supplies should be supported.
Six nominated members of the Council who have an oath are: Gogineni Sujath, MD (Pulmonology), Professor, Pinnameni Siddhartha Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Foundation, Vijayawada; Kalavakoll Venkata Subba Naida, Professor Pulmonology, Ongole; Daggumum Srihari Rao, radiologist, former vice -chairman, APSMC, Tirupati; Swarma Geetha, Gynecologist, Pilki, Prakasam district; S. Kesava Rao Babu, President, IMA, Vijayawada, Chaunduri Mallisware, Medicine doctor, from Bhimavaram.
Among the present were the director of medical education DSVL Narasimham and APMC registrar I. Ramesh.
