The Commission and Directorate of the Municipal Administration called on the statement of interest (EOI) for the selection of agencies to create a fixed waste processing facility for solid waste for solid
The government identified 25 acres of potential place in Sirsampally Village near Huzurabad adjacent to the ongoing national highway road surrounded by gravel quarries on the other three pages. Waste management facilities will be carried out within the model of the public and private sector partnership (PPP) to develop an economically viable and sustainable waste management system with high environmental standards, the official announcement said.
The chosen agency must propose, finance, construct, operate and maintain waste for energy for dry waste processing and implement advanced energy recovery technologies in accordance with environmental regulations. The project will be carried out using the design, assembly, finance, operation and transfer model (dbfot) to maintain a landfill waste below 10%
Agencies should demonstrate experience with the establishment and management of integrated urban waste management facilities (composting, energy waste, SLF with leap management) with a capacity of more than 500 tonnes per day (TPD) and their forms until April 9.
The government noted that Warangal and Karimnagar, the second largest city centers in Telangana, are witnessing significant urbanization, population growth and greater garbage formation, and therefore an effective solution of waste management is needed.
The proposed equipment including composting, a waste unit, a scientific dump with leaching, etc. will also serve the municipalities of Parala, Huzurabad, Huzurabad, Huzurabad, Jammikunta, Chopadandi, Narsamplet and Wardhannapet. Waste production in Warangal and Karimnagar is around 518 and 190 tonnes per day, respectively and takes nine other city local authorities that the current waste production is 807 TPD
Officials claim that there is 95% of waste collection in these urban bodies, with 30% including dry waste to the existing resources renewal centers (DRCC), while organic waste is focused on existing medical facilities. After completing the EOI process, CDMA will require offers via RFP – request for proposal by open bidding proceedings from agencies. The selected agency can operate the equipment for 15 years.
