The EID-UL-FITR NAMAZ took place on Monday (March 31, 2025) at more than 31,500 locations in Uttar Pradesh in the middle of strict security measures and a ban on the offer on the road.
In the sensitive districts of Sambhal, Meerut, Aligar, Bahraich and Bahraich, special security measures were introduced, including the deployment of provincial armed constabulary and fast action forces and supervision with CCTV cameras.
In Sambhal, higher district officials of IDGAHS and mosques inspected to check security measures and instruct the police staff on duty. Sambhal’s deputy Lok Sabha, Zia-Ur-Rehman Barq, offered a slash in Shahi Jama Masjid.
In the Mathura Shahi Idgah mosque, prayers were offered in the presence of the great police force, while the district judge and police manager monitored the proceedings.
In Meerut, two Muslim groups of Pelly stones and fired against each other in Siwalkhas, resulting in at least four people injuries. “There were two individuals in Siwalkhas, I was and Yahid, yesterday yesterday in a problem. Today, after the two sides clashed, they came to the shooting that were injured in the collision. Some people were detained.
In Moradabad, some devotees protested in front of the police against intensive security checks on the way to Eidgah.
Prashant Kumar, CEO of Prashant Kumar, said that prayers were made peacefully in accordance with the anticipation of the administration. “Eid prayers have been successfully carried out across Uttar Pradesh today. Prayers were offered in more than 31,500 locations. As expected by administration and the attraction of religious leaders, people made peacefully,” Kumar said.
Police monitored social media and increased foot patrol in sensitive areas throughout the state.
President Samajwadi Party (SP) Akhilesh Yadav claimed that the administration intentionally stopped his convoy of cars to delay his arrival at Lucknow Eidgah. “They held my” Carcade “held for half an hour. When I asked for the reasons behind the delay, no official had any answers. Later only my vehicle was allowed. Is it a dictatorship or any shortage?
In Saharanpur, people could be seen as waving the flag of Palestine to support people there.
Days before the festival, the UP government issued a directive issued that they indicate that religious activities should not prevent roads, should be identified sensitive areas and other police staff are appropriately deployed. The government was also looking for increased foot patrols and a system of active reaction.
