Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday (July 18, 2026) inaugurated and laid foundation stone for 57 development projects worth ₹574 crore in Bulandshahr. He said at the event that due to the failures of previous governments, the state was engulfed in an atmosphere of fear, terror and insecurity, that daughters and traders did not feel safe and that many families had even stopped sending their children to school. Today, however, the situation has completely changed.
“During this period, there were riots and curfews were enforced in various districts of western Uttar Pradesh, including Bulandshahr. At that time, daughters and businessmen felt unsafe, leading many families to stop their daughters’ education. Earlier, each district had its own mafia and each police station was associated with a functioning extortion syndicate, face-to-face with an extortion syndicate. It operated in the air fear,” he said.
But now, according to him, everything is fine. “The government has taken strict action against the mafia. We have repeated that we will reduce the mafia to dust and we have done that. There are only two places for those who threaten the safety of daughters and traders: jail or hell. Bulandshahr has also undergone a complete transformation in New Uttar Pradesh, New India. When I came to Bulandshahr during the elections, today there is an atmosphere of fear and dread. Bulandshahr has fearlessly joined the development process with renewed strength, the country’s largest highway, the Ganga Expressway, passes through Bulandshahr, reducing the travel time to Prayagraj by about five hours. On the request of public representatives, the Link Expressway connecting the Ganga Expressway to the Jewar International Airport has also been approved,” said the government accepted the demand for increased compensation.
Mr. Adityanath added that with better connectivity, Bulandshahr will be able to enter a new era of industrialization and create extensive employment opportunities. “Operations at Jewar airport have already started and it is set to become the backbone of prosperity not only for western Uttar Pradesh but for the entire country. As the airport is spread over an area of nearly 14,000 acres, it will become a major hub for aircraft repair and maintenance (MRO) while providing cargo operations and providing excellent domestic and international air connectivity to passengers,” he said.
At the event, Mr. Adityanath also distributed laptops, cheques, keys, thermal printers, Ayushman cards, scholarships, grants, toolkits and certificates to beneficiaries of various schemes. Earlier, while visiting the exhibition, the Chief Minister presented toys to young children.
“Kalyan Singh Medical College has now been established in Bulandshahr in the name of Babu Ji (Late Kalyan Singh). Khurja ceramics and the identity of the sugarcane farmers of the region will now reach the entire country and the world due to better connectivity. Along with the international airport in the Jewar region, International Film City, Apparel City Park, Medical Device Park and Electronic City are also being developed from which Fintech Park Bulandshahr will also benefit the most,” he added.
The Chief Minister felicitated and felicitated the people of Bulandshahr for the development projects.
