Two were found dead in Channarayapatna

A man and his son were found dead at their residence on Gooranahalli Extension in Channarayapatna town of Hassan district on Saturday.

The deceased have been identified as BN Channegowda, 73, a retired teacher, and his son Bindu Kumar, 42, who was a taxi driver in Bengaluru. Bindu Kumar is suspected to have murdered his father before ending his life. Channegowd’s wife died a few years ago.

Hassan SP Shubhanwita visited the site. Speaking to pressmen, the SP said that two were found dead inside the house. While Channegowda was found murdered, Bindu Kumar was hanging.

Channarayapatna police have registered a case.
