IPL 2026: Heinrich Klaasen makes his way into the history books, runs past AB de Villiers against RCB
Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad (ANI Photo) Heinrich Klaasen continued his extraordinary IPL 2026 campaign to become only the fifth batsman in the history of Sunrisers Hyderabad to complete 2000 IPL runs for the franchise. The South African reached the milestone during SRH’s high-scoring clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Hyderabad on Friday. Klaasen smashed a quickfire 51 as SRH amassed a massive 255 for 4, with Ishan Kishan leading the charge with 79 and Abhishek Sharma hammering 56. Klaasen and Kishan combined for a destructive 113-run stand for the third wicket to leave RCB under immense pressure. The innings also helped Klaasen equal the record for the most 50-plus scores while batting at No. 4 or lower in a single IPL season. He now sits alongside Rishabh Pant and Glenn Maxwell with six such scores.
