
On Saturday, the government announced the appointment of Nidhi Tewari, an officer of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) in 2014, as a private secretary of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Since November 2022, TEWARI has been working as a representative of the Prime Minister’s office (PMO). Previously, she worked as a secretary in the division of disarmament and international security matters at the Ministry of Outside (Mea).
The appointment was approved by the Cabinet’s appointment committee according to a memorandum issued by the Ministry of Personnel and Training (DOPT) March 29 with immediate effect.
