Louis Vuitton Presents 2026 FIFA World Cup Trophy in Custom Suitcase for New York-New Jersey Final | Today’s news

Louis Vuitton has been named as the official supplier and licensee of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with the luxury fashion house set to transport and present football’s most coveted prize in a specially designed trophy case during the tournament’s final.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup trophy will arrive in a custom-made Louis Vuitton suitcase

A custom Louis Vuitton suitcase will carry the FIFA World Cup trophy to the New York-New Jersey Stadium, where it will be unveiled as part of the official closing ceremony program. The presentation continues the tradition associated with the FIFA World Cup since 2010, when the Louis Vuitton ambassador and the FIFA legend jointly brought the trophy onto the pitch before the final match.

The custom-made trunk was made from Louis Vuitton monogrammed canvas and features hand-painted gold “V” panels that represent both “Victory” and “Vuitton”. It’s also finished with gold-plated brass fittings, leather trim and the brand’s signature locks.

Inside, the suitcase is covered in light beige leather and features the Louis Vuitton-FIFA partnership logo integrated into the lid, underscoring the collaboration between world football’s governing body and the French luxury brand.

FIFA Commercial Director Romy Gai said: “Louis Vuitton brings a unique combination of heritage, craftsmanship and prestige to the FIFA World Cup. The official trophy is the most coveted prize in world football and it is only fitting that it is carried in a Louis Vuitton suitcase. The moment it is introduced onto the pitch before the final match will once again be the pinnacle of modern football.”

“For more than a decade, Louis Vuitton and FIFA have shared an unwavering commitment to excellence, bound by a common belief in the power of sport to inspire and bring people together. We are thrilled to continue this partnership for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
