After a long waiting, the state government finally granted an administrative sanction for the construction of a new building for the Koyilanda police station. The project will be completed at the price of 3 GBP Crore, sanctioned in the budget 2022–23.
The proposal of offers will be completed in two months to carry out the Fast-Track project. Police housing in Kerala is an agency entrusted with supervision of construction work.
Police sources said that poor construction facilities caused many problems for officers and complainants. The wider geographical area covering Chengottukav, Moodadi, Arique and Keezhariyur Panchayats made it possible to operate with a small device.
“After the new device is completed, parking equipment and visitors will be improved. We have received generous support for representatives and local administrators in promoting demand for more than ten years,” said Koyilanda police officer. He said that there was also an effort to transform it into a model police station.
