On Saturday (March 29, 2025), more than 21.7 Lakh people attended by Tamil Nadu, who attended Gram Sabha meetings on Saturday (March 29, 2025).
Among the participants were women of nearly 13 lakhs and men 8.7 Lakh, the third sex was 964. Although it was scheduled for the original date of 22 March, the meetings were postponed until 29 March due to administrative comfort.
One village of Panchayat – Nergunam in the ChengalPatt district – did not hold a meeting due to lack of quorum.
The meeting accepted around 2.1 lamp resolutions. Among the entities covered by the resolution were maintaining water resources, measures to ensure drinking water supply and dissemination of information and knowledge of supplementing groundwater sources, water protection and recycling.
