She commended farmers for adopting innovative farming techniques and modern technologies, saying such practices help improve productivity, reduce cost of cultivation and increase farm income. She urged farmers across the district to adopt similar methods.

Referring to the expected El Nino conditions, Ms. Priyanka advised farmers to grow alternative crops, drought-tolerant varieties and short-duration crops to minimize risks. She also emphasized the importance of building farm ponds for rainwater harvesting and water conservation.

Addressing the farmers, she emphasized the need for crop diversification and urged them to supplement traditional crops with horticultural crops, vegetables, floriculture and other high value crops to achieve sustainable and profitable agriculture.
