The temple president evaluates the cowshed and facilities for devotees

Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Pothugunta Temple Board Chairman Ramesh Naidu on Thursday evening inspected the temple-managed cow shelter, coconut sales centre, amphitheater and luggage storage for devotees.
While inspecting the cow shelter, he reviewed the procurement and daily consumption of fodder, the supply of medicines for the shelter and the production of Vibhuti (sacred ash). Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized the need to prioritize cleanliness and hygiene in the cow shelter, noting that it would bring a sacred atmosphere.
He ordered that only a certain number of cows be housed in each cow shed to facilitate systematic cow care and management. As a preventive measure, he ordered that vaccinations be carried out regularly and on schedule to protect cows from contagious and seasonal diseases.
Mr. Ramesh Naidu also directed that all necessary medicines for the shelter be stocked in advance. He emphasized the need to pay special attention to each and every cow in the shelter and instructed the staff concerned to ensure the continuous availability of adequate feed and drinking water. He ordered that all cows should receive nutritious fodder in accordance with scientific standards.
He then inspected the Vibhuti (sacred ash) manufacturing unit located in the Go-Samrakshana Shala (cow shelter) premises. He ordered that sufficient supplies of fragrant Vibhuti should always be kept ready to meet the demands of the visiting devotees. Later, he inspected the amphitheater and ordered that its surroundings be modified to create a pleasant atmosphere, with an emphasis on the need to enhance the surrounding greenery.
Later, Mr. Ramesh inspected the coconut sales counter maintained by the temple and checked the stock register. He recommended that sufficient supplies be prepared in advance to meet the influx of devotees. He insisted that the quality and size of the coconuts be strictly checked regularly. He also inspected the luggage storage and instructed the staff to treat the devotees with courtesy.
