Knife-point robbery in Chikkajala, three arrested
The Chikkajala police have arrested three persons in connection with a knife-point home robbery case in which cash and valuables worth nearly ₹25,000 were stolen from a residence in the northeast part of Bengaluru.
The case came to light after Krishnachar filed a complaint alleging that unknown men barged into his house on April 18, threatened him with a knife and forced him to hand over the keys to the cupboard. The accused allegedly absconded with cash estimated to be around ₹ 13 lakh along with several gold and silver ornaments.
Based on the initiative, the police registered the case at the relevant departments of the BNS and started an investigation.
Police arrested the first accused, 33-year-old Guruprasad, a resident of Nanjapura village in Jigani, on May 10. Further investigation led to the arrest of two more accused identified as Arbaz, 20, and Jibran, 23, both residents of Bengaluru’s Begur area. Based on the information they provided, the police recovered ₹12.31 crore in cash and gold and silver ornaments with an aggregate value of ₹12.5 crore.
