
Captain Gujarat Titans SHUBMAN GILL (PTI Photo) New Delhi: Captain Gujarat Titans (GT) SHUBMAN GILL fell out his name in record books during the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash against the Indians in Mumbai at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on Saturday.
The stylish right -handed became the second fastest batter, which scored 1000 IPL runs in one place and reached a milestone in only 20 shifts.

Gill is now only behind Chris Gayle, which reached 1000 IPL runs in 19 shifts at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengalur. David Warner is the third on the list, after performing in 22 shifts in the International Rajiv Gandhi stadium in Hyderabad’s Rajiv, followed by Shaun Marsh, who took 26 shifts in Mohali.

During the game Gill and Sai Sudharsan provided the flying start and powered the GT to 66/0 in PowerPlay and marked the first perfect powerplay season.
