Traffic diversions have been announced in Hyderabad for the Jagannath Rath Yatra procession

The Hyderabad branch of ISKCON Abids will celebrate the 47th Sri Jagannatha Ratha Yatra festival on Thursday. In view of the procession, the Hyderabad Traffic Police has announced traffic diversions and alternative routes for Thursday in parts of the city. The next Rath Yatra will start from Jagannath Temple in Banjara Hills.

The ISKCON procession will start at 11 am from NTR Stadium and proceed towards the Exhibition Grounds. The route includes RTC X Roads, Narayanaguda, Himayathnagar, Liberty, Basheerbagh, BJR Circle, Gunfoundry, Taj Mahal Junction, GPO Circle, MJ Market and Malakunta.

Traffic on the route will be regulated, stopped or diverted as necessary, with the procession arriving at the Exhibition Grounds by 5 p.m.

The Jagannath Temple procession on Road No. 12, Banjara Hills will be held between noon and 8:00 pm. Traffic diversions will be in place around Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills and adjoining areas.

Commuters between Masab Tank, Lakdikapul, Khairatabad, Road No. 12, Film Nagar, Shaikpet and Road No. 45 have been advised to use Road No. 1, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar, NTR Bhavan and Jubilee Hills Check Post.

Vehicles heading towards Road No. 12 from Shaikpet, Film Nagar, Jubilee Hills and Tolichowki have been advised to use Jubilee Hills Checkpost, Road No. 10, Zaheer Nagar and Road No. 1.
