
Pawan Gupta and Sangita Bhakat first met in 2018 at work in the public sector. A few years later, their hunger is learning and growth led to trading with comfortable jobs for MBA plans. Mr. Gupta chose an annual MBA program at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IAMB), while Mrs. Bhakat decided to chase a two -year PGDBA in Iim Calcutta.
Through the late night dates of the closures of submission, they remained in connection while they lived separately.
“We cross the finish line – we find,” said Mr. Gupta. Mrs. Bhakat, she added, added that his excitement was echoing: “We did it side by side, and that makes every challenge useful.” The couple wants to attract a career in technology after graduation.
When IAMB celebrated 50 on Friday. The convening, many such stories about pairs that graduated from different IIMs were published.
Saurabh Arya worked for 16 years before joining the PGPem program on IAMB in 2023. A year later his wife Nimisha Sut, who also wanted to strengthen her professional trajectory, was given the opportunity to join the one -year PG course in Iim Ahmedabad.
“For my studies I did not have to leave my work or my home. I did not have to change my city or stay away from my family. None of this was true for my wife, if she had to continue on this occasion. It was a much bigger change for her and for our family,” recalls Mr. Arya.
The couple also had a challenge to convince his seven -year -old daughter that her mother would be gone for a year. But they decided to continue the better future.
“Now that we are thinking about the last few years, it was a great way. We were both on beautiful campuses, we met amazing people and learned from the best in the field. And Destiny had a beautiful plan;
PhD Doránice will complete as a married couple
Shivangi Rajora, who completed his doctorate in public policy, first met Ashish Singh Bhandarie, who during his first year in IAMB, when he helped her from her room, performed a doctorate in operations operations. Their bond grew when they spent evenings playing squash, sipping tea and talking about movies, football and skin care. They supported each other through their courses and decided to marry in the last year.
“For the first time, we were seriously discussed about the marriage that was in the last year of our PhD, and it seemed to me to be the most natural decision – an apparent step forward on the way we have already shared,” Mrs. Rajora shared.
