The ASR district leads the state in the digitization of the voter list
Alluri Sitharama Raju District (ASR) secured the highest position in Andhra Pradesh by completing 100% digitization of census forms under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, District Collector T. Nishanthi said on Monday.
Addressing a press conference, Ms. Nishanthi said that the district has climbed from the 28th position to the first position within a short span of time due to systematic planning, continuous monitoring and coordinated efforts of officials at all levels.
She said the exercise covered every eligible voter, including those living in remote tribal habitations, and ensured transparent and timely digitization of all census forms.
The Collector attributed the success to the efforts of Joint Collector Tirumani Sree Pooja, ITDA Project Officer Aditya Varma, District Revenue Officer MVS Lokeshwara Rao, Revenue Division Officer M. Bhujanga Rao, Electoral Registration Officers, District Officers, Mandal Level Officers, Booth Level Officers and Supervisors. She also appreciated the cooperation of political parties, Booth Level Agents, public representatives and citizens.
Ms. Nishanthi said that the logical discrepancies found at the stall level would be corrected in the next two days.
She invited voters to submit their claims and objections between July 21 and August 20. Inquiries of Assistant Electoral Registration Officers and other eros will be held from July 21 to September 18, after which the final list of voters will be released on September 22.
