
The first meeting of the new Sreenarayanagura Open University Syndicate on Wednesday decided to take urgent steps to obtain 8.13 acres of land in the village of Mundakkal in Kollam in the current financial year for the construction of the university headquarters.
The Syndicate also decided to organize an educational conclave to propose innovative courses, focusing on future career opportunities, with the public participation of academic experts, representatives of LSG, head of the industry and government representatives. The public can also provide feedback on new courses to be launched at Open University, and therefore proposals can be submitted online via the University website. After evaluating their potential in the academic conclave, steps will be taken to identify suitable proposals from those who have been taken and started courses.
A supervisory committee for strengthening universities of study centers was created.
