American insurance company Nationwide opens plant in Hyderabad
American insurance and finance company Nationwide recently announced the opening of Nationwide Global Services Center in Hyderabad.
The Hyderabad facility is the company’s first international campus and joins those at three locations in the US. It will enable Nationwide to meet increased business demand, support long-term growth goals and expand global operational capabilities, said Nationwide Global Services Managing Director – India Vikas Jaswal.
The company has 60 employees on board at the new plant and expects the number to grow to more than 100 as it continues to build capacity, he said.
“India’s highly skilled talent market and Hyderabad’s established global capabilities ecosystem make it an ideal choice for our Nationwide India office and expanded global workforce,” he said. The new facility will build critical capabilities, drive business and drive greater speed and productivity across the organization.
Inaugurating the office, IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad has emerged as one of the world’s leading innovation destinations for banking, finance, insurance and capital markets. Nine of the world’s top ten BFSI giants drive innovation, advanced product engineering from Hyderabad. Nationwide, a leading US insurance company, has joined Telangana’s growing list of strong Global Value Centers (GVCs).
