Former US Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has filed for divorce from her husband Bryon Noem after his alleged secret online cross-dressing was revealed, according to a report.
The report quoted Noah’s mother, Corinne Arnold, as saying the couple’s 34-year marriage ended after the controversy.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Arnold said the family had anticipated the split.
“It was hard, but we knew it was coming, they were going to get divorced,” Arnold said.
She recalled talking to her daughter during a family birthday party shortly after the allegations surfaced.
“I finally said, ‘What’s the deal? Are you getting back together?’ And she said, ‘No. No. We’re getting a divorce,” Arnold told the Daily Mail.
Arnold said Noem has already hired a lawyer from to handle the proceedings.
Allegations against Bryon Noem
The Daily Mail reported in March that Bryon Noem allegedly participated in online “bimbofication” fetish communities and shared images of himself dressed in women’s clothing. The publication reported that security experts have expressed concern that the alleged activity may have put Kristi Noem at potential risk of extortion while she held a high office.
According to the report, Bryon Noem moved out of the family home in Castlewood, South Dakota after the allegations became public and now lives about 20 miles away while continuing to run his insurance business.
The family reacts to the split
Arnold told the Daily Mail that she was saddened by the divorce but understood her daughter’s decision.
“I feel bad, bad that they’re getting a divorce, but what else can you do?” she said.
She added that Bryon had been a part of the family for decades and was loved by his grandchildren.
“The sad thing is, he’s a grandpa. And the little kids love him. We all love him, just like you love your family,” Arnold said.
No public comment
The Daily Mail reported that both Kristi Noem and Bryon Noem declined to comment on the divorce.
Kristi and Bryon Noem met in high school, married in 1992, and have three grown children together. According to the report, the divorce follows a difficult time for Kristi Noem, who was fired as Homeland Security Secretary earlier this year and faced public scrutiny over separate allegations involving her personal life.
