Despite India’s struggles in the series, Brook was quick to acknowledge the quality of the opposition while praising England’s execution.“India is a strong side. It probably hasn’t been as good as it has been in the last few years, but we are really happy with how we executed our plans,” he added. The England captain believes that completing a clean sweep against one of the strongest T20 teams in the world would be a significant achievement for his side.“To beat India 4-0 would be a pretty special series win to be honest, and to get to world number one would be even better. That’s our main aim. We want to go there and try and beat them convincingly again. We have to go to Southampton and try and assess the conditions as best we can and that’s something we’ve done well in this series so far,” concluded Brook.
The dominance of England under Harry Brooke
England’s remarkable consistency under Brook was one of the biggest reasons for their rise. Since taking over the captaincy, the Three Lions have won 19 of the last 22 completed T20Is, a run that included a semi-final appearance at the 2026 Men’s World T20 Cup where they were knocked out by eventual finalists India.
