Collector demands efficiency and transparency in the cooperative sector

District Collector A. Siri on Friday (July 10, 2026) directed officials to ensure transparency, efficiency and accountability through technology-based management in the cooperative sector to bring Kurnool district in line with digital reforms.
At the District Cooperative Development Committee meeting here, the Collector focused on the functioning of cooperative societies, implementation of Human Resource Management System (HRMS), Dynamic End of the Day (EOD) operations, payment of wages and infrastructure projects.
It directed officials to link all employees of cooperative societies with the HRMS platform to ensure digital processing of attendance, service record, payroll and other administrative functions. She said wages should henceforth be paid through the HRMS module to ensure timely payments and better financial management.
Ms. Siri said 103 employees of the district cooperative wing have received approval from the district level implementation committee to get their wages through HRMS.
The committee further approved a detailed project report for the construction of a 2,900 metric tonne capacity grain warehouse proposed at Parla village in Kallur mandal under the World’s Largest Grain Warehouse initiative, she added.
The Collector appealed to the staff to strengthen the cooperative institutions and improve the services to the farmers by joint efforts with the government guidelines.
