Thiruvananthapuram Young Indians Chapter to host Model Parliament on July 10-11

Young Indians (Yi) Thiruvananthapuram Chapter, the youth wing of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), will organize the second edition of the Young Indians Parliament 2026 on July 10 and 11.

The event takes place in the building of the Old Legislative Assembly at the Secretariat. A total of 129 selected students from various state and private schools from all over the city and the surrounding area will participate in the event.

Five students from Government VHSS for the Deaf, Thiruvananthapuram will participate in the program with the assistance of professional sign language interpreters. At the end of the two-day session, 30 outstanding student artists will be selected to represent the region at the regional round of the Young Indian Parliament to be held in Mysore.

Lecturer Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan will inaugurate the program. Electricity Minister Sunny Joseph and former Speaker M. Vijayakumar will also attend the inaugural session.

The chief guest of the valedictory session will be the Minister of Transport CP John. State Council of Higher Education Vice-Chairman Achuthsankar S. Nair will also attend.
