C-DIT will get a new director

Abdul Rahman, director of the LBS Institute of Technology for Women, has been appointed as the director of the Center for Development of Imaging Technology (C-DIT), an autonomous institution under the state Ministry of Information Technology.

C-DIT is the lead agency responsible for leading the development and maintenance of IT projects of the Government of Kerala, web portals of various departments and digital services. It also provides an online platform for conducting entrance exams, including those for engineering and pharmaceutical courses.

Dr. Rahman was the first Vice-Chancellor of the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University (KTU). He also served as a director in the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the Union Ministry of Education.
