
NEW DELHI: Gujarat Titans suffered a setback in their chase against Kolkata Knight Riders after opener Sai Sudharsan was injured during an IPL match in Kolkata on Saturday.Sudharsan was injured on the last ball of the third over bowled by Kartik Tyagi. Sudharsan attempted a shot from short range but was beaten due to timing and the ball hit his left elbow. He managed to complete one back square leg but immediately fell to the ground in pain and took off his gloves.A physio ran onto the pitch and an ice pack was applied to Sudharsan’s left elbow before he left injured. While Jos Buttler was seen ready near the boundary rope, it was Nishant Sindhu who stood up next.Earlier, Finn Allen smashed 93 off 35 balls as Kolkata Knight Riders posted 247 for two, their highest total of the season.Allen survived two dropped catches for 14 and 33 before dismantling the Gujarat bowling attack with 10 sixes and four boundaries. Of his 93 runs, 86 came in boundaries.After Allen’s dismissal, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Cameron Green carried the momentum forward with an unbeaten partnership of 108 runs off 53 balls for the third wicket.Raghuvanshi remained unbeaten on 82 while Green remained unbeaten on 52.Gujarat Titans had a poor outing in the field, dropping four catches in total. Raghuvanshi was dropped by Washington Sundar for 52, while Green was given a reprieve for 23 when Arshad Khan caught Rashid Khan.
