The state government on Saturday issued an order setting up a cabinet sub-committee headed by home minister G. Parameshwara, an educationist and former state higher education minister, to review the final report submitted by the State Education Policy (SEP) Commission and make appropriate recommendations. On May 7, the cabinet decided to create a cabinet subcommittee.
Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister HK Patil, Social Welfare Minister HC Mahadevappa, Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, Medical Education and Skill Development Minister Sharan Prakash Patil and Higher Education Minister MC Sudhakar are members of the sub-committee. Education and Literacy Minister Madhu Bangarappa, who was not named as a member of the sub-committee, raised eyebrows.
