A total of 163 students were awarded post-graduate and super-specialty degrees at the PG Graduation Ceremony 2026 at St. John’s Medical College which was held on Wednesday.
As many as 24 graduates secured state and national university positions this year. Among special postgraduate students, the overall pass percentage was 94%, with 11 students placing in the top 10 in the university and winning three gold medals.
Among the DNB Super Specialty and Super Specialty students, the pass percentage was 100% with 13 students securing university and national ranks along with five gold medals.
While Udata Pranavi (Family Medicine), Honey Mol (Pathology) and Aneeta Shaji (Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation) secured the first position and gold medals at the state university level, Ruby Aleyamma Roy (Family Medicine) and Swathi N. (Transfusion Medicine) secured the second position. Pragnya Sood (Community Medicine) secured the fifth rank.
Sanjan Rai K. (Endocrinology), Hrudya (Gastroenterology), Chinthana L. (Neonatology) and Swetha C. Nair (Pulmonary Medicine) won first place and gold medals in DM and MCh courses. Chaitanya H. Balakrishna (Hematology) won the DNB National Gold Medal.
Uday George Zachariah, Deputy Principal of Christian Medical College and alumnus of St. John’s Medical College in 1990, addressing the graduates, urged the young doctors to serve the society with compassion and dedication. parish priest Fr. Present were Jesudoss Rajamanickam, director of St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences, and other dignitaries.
