Amid speculation of a possible leadership change in the Congress government in Karnataka, the ruling party’s MLCs met Congress general secretary Randeep Singh Surjewala in New Delhi on Tuesday and sought an early clarification on the leadership issue. The MLCs, including Madhu Madegowda, TD Srinivas, Chandrashekhar Patil, Basanagouda Badarli and Puttanna, met Mr. Surjewala and appealed to him to convey his concerns to the party high command. The MLCs are also believed to have demanded that at least five Congress members from the Legislative Council be inducted into the state cabinet if there is a reshuffle.
