Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) general secretary TTV Dhinakaran on Saturday (May 9, 2026) asked the Tamil Nadu Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) to release the original version of a letter of support allegedly signed by his party colleague and legislator Mannargudi S. Kamaraj.
At the press conference, Mr. Dhinakaran reiterated that the letter in question and the video clip of Mr. Kamaraj attaching his signature to the letter were “forged” and that it was quite possible that the visual could have been generated by AI. He held TVK founder C. Joseph Vijay responsible for the episode.
Late on Friday (May 8), Mr. Dhinakaran accused TVK of submitting a photocopy of a “forged letter” to the Governor and claimed to have the support of his party’s lone MLA-elect, Mr. Kamaraj.
