Educators in Karnataka have rejected the National Testing Agency’s decision to conduct a re-examination of NEETs, saying those behind the leak and those who facilitated the leak should be held accountable and punished.

The chairman of the expert group of institutions Narendra Nayak said that the re-examination decision has caused a lot of inconvenience to the students. “More than 22 thousand students attempted the test after preparing for this premier competitive exam for more than two years. Severe punishment should be meted out not only to those who evaded the questions but also to those who facilitated the evasion. The Union Government should fix the responsibility and take strict action on the evasion of NEET questions.”
Chairman of Alvas Group of Institutions Mohan Alva said, “Unfortunately, NTA seems to have taken the leakage of question papers lightly. Students, their parents and teachers who prepared honestly for NEET are very disappointed with the re-examination decision. Without any mistake, students have to write NEET again.”
Vijay Moras of The Learning Center PU College, whose student Princilla Cardoza topped the PU 2 science stream with 599 marks, said, “The re-exam will be tough, especially for those who did well in the NEET held on May 3. We need to bring students back to the exam mindset. Students need to prepare for the changed pattern of examination questions in the re-exam.”
