Virat Kohli has failed to score in the last two matches he has played in IPL 2026. This is a cause for concern for Kohli and RCB fans, but Krunal Pandya seems unfazed. In fact, the all-rounder said he was actually enjoying the slump for Kohli.
IPL, RCB vs MI: HIGHLIGHTS | SCORECARD
RCB’s star batsman was dropped in LSG’s loss to Prince Yadav’s stunner and against MI in Raipur, Kohli got out on the very first ball he faced by Deepak Chahar. RCB lost a bit of steam in the last few games and matched Kohli’s slump which saw him score 51 runs in the last four games.
In the post-match press conference, Krunal brushed aside all concerns and explained why he is excited that Kohli is fighting at the moment.
The all-rounder said that it is during these phases that Kohli produces a special knock and returns to the scene.
“First of all sir, Virat Kohli is a master player. If he doesn’t score in two matches, I will actually be more excited because you know Virat Kohli will come back strong. He has a huge hunger in him. He is a different animal isn’t he?” said Krunal.
NO TENSION ABOUT KOHLI’
Krunal further stated that there are concerns in the RCB camp about Kohli’s form and he will be back in his best form soon.
“So when it comes to Virat Kohli, there’s never any tension. Everyone knows what he is and what he can do. I’m pretty sure from here Virat Kohli will do Virat Kohli things again. There’s no doubt about that,” Krunal said.
Despite his indifferent run with the bat of late, Kohli has enjoyed a great season with RCB so far. He has scored 379 runs in 11 matches at an average of 42.11 and a strike of 163.36, scoring three fifties this season.
RCB will next face KKR in Raipur on May 13.
