
Apollo Hospitals has launched a Center for Venous Disorders at its Greams Road hospital, which focuses on conditions such as varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, venous ulcers, bleeding and chronic venous insufficiency.
The center aims to provide comprehensive treatment of venous diseases with specialties in vascular surgery, radiology, dermatology and wound care under one roof, according to a press release.
Speaking on the occasion, Ilankumaran Kaliamoorthy, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Chennai Region, said, “With the launch, we have made significant progress in addressing a group of disorders that often remain undiagnosed and undertreated. Through this centre, we will be able to provide treatment that is precise and minimally invasive, leading to rapid recovery.”
Vascular surgeons Balaji and Rajarajan Venkatesan; Naveen, CEO, Apollo Hospitals, Greams Road; and Dr. Anil, DMS, Apollo Hospitals, Cluster 1, Chennai, were present at the launch.
