MLAs push for resumption of flight operations from Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam North constituency MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju requested the state government and Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Atchannaida to ensure the continuation of flight operations from Visakhapatnam every three hours in the morning and evening after the Bhogapuram International Airport becomes operational.

Speaking to reporters here on Monday, Mr. Vishnu Kumar urged that morning and night flight services should be operated on routes like Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam-Tirupati, Visakhapatnam-Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam-Kurnool, Visakhapatnam-Visakhanam to provide hassle-free travel for passengers.

Referring to the Rushikonda Palace built by the previous government, he described it as a highly valuable seaside property that is extremely rare. He said, “The state government and the tourism department should not only develop the facility as a five-star hotel but also promote it internationally and have world-renowned hospitality or entertainment organizations manage it.”

Reacting to the political developments in the state, Mr. Vishnu Kumar criticized YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy for frequently changing his stand on the capital (Amravati). “The central government has already made it clear that Amaravati is the capital of Andhra Pradesh. If Mr. Jagan Mohan continues to ignore public opinion, the party may not even retain the 11 seats in the House that it secured in the previous elections,” he said.

Prior to the press conference, the MLA received comments and complaints from the public under the ‘Dial Your MLA’ and ‘Praja Darbar’ (public grievance) programmes. He personally spoke to officials on more than 31 public issues and directed them to take immediate remedial action. He also handed over house keys to 12 beneficiaries from North Constituency who received houses through AP TIDCO. He congratulated the recipients on fulfilling their dream of owning their own home and wished their families happiness and prosperity.
