Director General of Police (DGP) Harish Kumar Gupta presented the ‘Best Recovery’ award to Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore at the AP Police Headquarters on Friday (May 8, 2026) for achieving the highest number of recovered mobile phones in the state and returning them to their owners.
“Eluru District Police is at the forefront of using technology. With the help of Central Device Register (CEIR), the police has traced the lost mobile phones,” said Mr. Harish Kumar Gupta while appreciating the technical team.
Mr Pratap Shiva Kishore said that under ‘Operation Recovery’ lost mobile phones are being traced and will be handed over to their owners at their doorsteps. SP appealed to the public to register complaints at the nearest police station or through the web portal and use the services of the police in case of loss of a mobile phone.
