A Class VII student from Kumram Bheem Asifabad district has received a patent registration from the Patent Office for an innovative parking management project to address congestion in congested public places.
Alsa Mamatha, a student of MPUPS Bhupalapatnam, has developed a project – Parking Management in Crowded Places.
It was first exhibited at the INSPIRE district exhibition, where it won the first prize, and later advanced to the national exhibition. The model uses an IR sensor and LCD display system to detect whether the parking space is occupied or free. When a vehicle occupies a slot, the display will show “Slot Full” and when it is empty, it will show “Slot Empty”. The innovation is especially useful in crowded places such as hospitals, shopping malls and other public spaces.
Guide teacher Moulkari Keshav and District Research Officer Katukam Madhukar also received certificates for their contribution.
Director of School Education E. Naveen Nicolas, who congratulated the team on Friday, said the achievement reflects the innovation and scientific talent present in government school students and inspires many others to pursue research and creativity.
