The CEO is aiming for 100% distribution of census forms by July 7th

After reviewing the progress of the Special Intensive Review (SIR) exercise on Monday, Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudharshan Reddy directed all district collectors to ensure that the distribution of enumeration forms is completed smoothly by July 7.

He asked the collectors, especially those from Hyderabad, Medchal and Rangareddy districts and other urban areas to closely monitor the process and ensure 100% distribution of enumeration forms.

The CEO emphasized the key role of supervisors in helping Booth Level Officers (BLOs) with the enumeration process. Supervisors were asked to identify areas where BLOs needed support and help them complete the forms. He also suggested involving local volunteers to help voters in filling the forms and directed the collectors to publish the contact numbers of the wardens through the media.

Referring to the 16 help desks already set up in Hyderabad, he instructed the Collectors to set up more help desks wherever necessary. He also directed that each completed enumeration form should bear the signatures of both the voter and the BLO concerned, along with the photograph of the voter.

Electoral Registration Officers and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers have been asked to conduct extensive field visits to expedite the SIR process. Mr. Reddy also instructed the officials to start digitization of the filled enumeration forms.

He further directed officials to take up polling station rationalization to ensure that members of the same family are allotted to the same polling station instead of different ones. BLOs have been instructed to verify the forms submitted online, while collectors have been asked to organize another round of training for BLOs and supervisors on the enumeration process.

He also directed the BLO to hold meetings with political parties and create awareness among them about the SIR process.
