The Tamil Nadu State Board exam results for Class 12 will be declared on Friday (May 8, 2026) at 9:30 am, School Education Secretary B. Chandra Mohan announced on Thursday (May 7, 2026).
As many as 8,16,289 students wrote the Class 12 exams that started on March 2 and ended on March 26. While the department had earlier announced that the results would be delayed as the results were still being processed, they will now be declared as scheduled. Sources in the ministry added that it was postponed due to the delay in forming the government.
Students can access their results from www.tnresults.nic.in, www.dge.tn.gov.in or results.digilocker.gov.in. According to the press release, students of the school can also get their results from their schools. “The results will also be sent through SMS to the mobile numbers mentioned in the mandatory forms sent by the students of the school through their schools and to the mobile numbers provided by the private candidates at the time of online application,” the release said.
First, the department with the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency has created a way to view the results through WhatsApp. Candidates should send hello to 7845252525. Students can then reply to the message with their department name and exam class. Then candidates can get their exam results after entering and sending their registration number and date of birth in the reply.
