The AssamCongress called a meeting with her elected MLAs and poll candidates to analyze her defeat in the assembly elections.
State party president Gaurav Gogoi, who lost the Jorhat seat, told reporters on Tuesday (May 5, 2026) that his party would take “important lessons” from the poll result to come back as a stronger political force.
