Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah a People’s Democratic Party President (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti on Tuesday (May 5, 2026) raised questions about the role Election Commission of India (ECI) in West Bengal.
“Apart from other factors, the role of the EC also played a significant role in the results. The simplest explanation for the West Bengal result is a severe truncation of the voter list. Voters found their names erased. Something is wrong,” Abdullah said in an interview to a news agency.
