Organizations that create opportunities for employees to improve and excel through upskilling or retraining often reap the benefits in the long run. Such organizations, broadly referred to as learning organizations in business parlance, create an ecosystem where employees are motivated to strive to learn new skills and apply them on the job, said speakers at a panel discussion on Tuesday (May 5, 2026).
The discussion was part of the Future Career Conversations series jointly organized by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) and The Hindu under the title ‘The Future Reimagined – Discover, Decide, Define Your Career’.
