A visiting lecturer was allegedly murdered by her male friend, who later set her body on fire in a car before ending his life, near Jinkebachahalli village in Doddaballapur taluk on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Saroja (40), a visiting lecturer at a private college in Devanahalli. The accused Ramanjinappa, 45, a real estate broker, is suspected to have died by jumping in front of the train.
