With ongoing counting for West Bengal Assembly Elections in the 293 seats, there is great anticipation as to who will form the next government in the state. The results are being declared today after voting in two phases, with the remaining one seat, Falta, going to the polls on May 21 as ordered by the Election Commission.
The election was held in the shadow of the SIR exercise, which saw the names of about 91 million people removed from the electoral rolls, which shrunk to around 6.82 million.
