The water resources department is concentrating on completing the long-pending gaps in the right main canal (RMC) of the Polavaram irrigation project by June-July 2026.
According to sources, these works are on small, scattered stretches ranging from 50 to 60 meters, which were left unfinished in 2015-16 due to various constraints of the original implementing agencies, resulting in discontinuities along the canal.
