Police seize 3.6 kg of ganja in Villupuram, arrest two

Police seized 3.6 kg of ganja that was allegedly smuggled to Villupuram and arrested two persons in Sithani on Saturday.

Police said after being tipped off, the team was conducting vehicle checks in Sithani when they spotted the suspects A. Mukilana, 22 and S. Soundar, 23 of Vikravandi with a bag. When the police checked the bag, they found bundles of ganja in it.

Police said initial investigations revealed that the duo bought ganja from drug dealers to sell to individuals in Villupuram district. They were arrested and returned to custody.
