Two more bodies were recovered from the Bargi dam reservoir on Saturday (May 2, 2026), raising the death toll in the Jabalpur boating tragedy to 11, even as rescuers and divers continue to search for the remaining two victims, officials said.
According to officials, at least 200 personnel of the Indian Army, National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Madhya Pradesh State Emergency Disaster Response Force (SDERF) and the local administration, as well as local fishermen, are involved in the search operation that has been going on for three days in the extended area with the help of advanced equipment.
