The BJP and the TMC on Saturday (May 2, 2026) both welcomed the Supreme Court’s directions regarding Election Commission of India (ECI) circular on deployment of Central Government personnel for counting of votes in West Bengal.
The Supreme Court on Saturday (May 2, 2026) said no further order was necessary on the TMC’s plea challenging the Calcutta High Court’s dismissal of a petition against the April 13 circular.
