Congress President and Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Friday clarified his earlier remarks on the Karnataka leadership issue, saying no decision has yet been taken to change the chief minister and warned against speculation and “distortion” of his comments.
Interacting with presspersons at his residence in Kalaburagi, Mr. Kharge said that the discussion on any change in leadership will be led by the party leadership collectively at the appropriate time. “There is no date set to discuss the issue. Without setting a time, how can I tell if there will be a change or not?” he asked.
